Great co-workers, terrible corporate - Warehouse Worker Four Seasons Produce Employee Review

Pros

A lot of overtime, GREAT comradery between co-workers on the floor (seriously, amazing people on in the warehouse!), very safety-oriented.

Cons

Corporate doesn't listen to or value employees, makes decisions without hearing out employees. Certain shifts are valued more, while other shifts are thrown under the bus constantly. Employees are forced to work holidays (for only being a warehouse job), and rules are enforced stronger only when it's in their best interests. Hardly any room to climb the career ladder here, they hire outside the company most of the time with management. Pay is mediocre at best for the job if you have lots of experience. Management barely does anything to help us, they tell us to stop talking and work, but they talk all the time. They constantly put guys who have seniority on assignments that earn less money, and keep other guys who are newer on assignments that earn money, very, very unfair.

Pros

The Ephrata facility is well equipped with conveniences like cafe and had opportunities for growth.

Cons

The company struggled with transparency regarding hiring commitments and long-term talent strategy. At the time of my hire, I was promised H-1B visa sponsorship; however, when the registration period arrived, the company declined to proceed, citing performance concerns and deferring sponsorship to the following year. The underlying situation was that I was hired as the sole Industrial Engineer following the departure of a predecessor who had exhausted their H-1B eligibility. Crucially, the company hired this former employee back almost immediately after I joined. At that time, he was still in India and was brought back before the company could have realistically evaluated my performance or expertise. It became clear that the decision to prioritize him for sponsorship as a "seasoned" asset had been made before I even had the opportunity to prove my value. Following this shift in strategy, I was sidelined from critical projects and reassigned to tasks that did not require my engineering expertise, leading to a role that was no longer aligned with the company’s original requirements or my professional skill set.
