Pros

There are great people that work here. Opticians can make more than they make at a doctor's office.

Cons

Everything else. There is no positivity outside your coworkers. All systems are manual and tedious. New technology costs money so management solution is to keep working as they always have to keep costs low in spite of reduced overhead and profits being high. Upper and middle management are terrible, they do not take accountability for issues that occur and there is finger pointing and backstabbing left and right. Opticians are not told this when they are hired, but they will be deducted for any mistakes they make. The salary employees are expected to work more than 50 hours in the building to deserve their salary and if they do not, the CEO and person in charge of HR in-house will make snide comments about those employees not putting the work in regardless if that work is done in 8 hours or if you work at home or on the weekends additional. Most employees are burnt out and do not have the ability to transition to other departments or positions since none exist. Don't expect your career to flourish here or for corporate Essilor to care about the issues going on.
