Pros
Some good coworkers left who are passionate about the museum and its mission. Work day is flexible. Good benefits.
Cons
High stress environment, with constant fear of retribution if not following new CEO's direction, which changes on a whim. Witnessed on multiple occasions actually yelling and slamming of doors from CEO. No formal training. You are thrown into the job, knowing you have no background, and expected to do things 100% correctly from day 1. Favoritism shown towards certain employees/directors which negatively affects the entire museum staff. CEO hires friends who are not qualified as managers, who then blame their poor performance on their staff or other departments. Overall too much drama and not enough time management or actual planning. Always seemed like we were running from one fire to the next. Exhibits are brought in with not much foresight and no one understands why the place is losing money. Everyone who is left basically keeps their head down and stays for the money.
