I feel valuable and like I am contributing to the company.

Small company means you often take on many different roles.

Great salesmen, talkers, and manipulators

Would bait and switch their employees on hourly wage upon hiring. Would downcut the promised pay on day one for a “trial period” that never ended. They are fully aware and consciously practice this (illegal) tactic. Not to mention sleazy business practices, and an incredibly condescending/narcissistic owner.
