Pros

Its an incredible place for hands-on engineering. As an Electrical Engineer, I get to work on real-world, cutting-edge projects that challenge me to think critically and apply innovative solutions. This isn’t just routine design work. We’re working on space for some of the top companies out there.  We’re also going through out annual performance evaluation process. It’s great to have intentional professional development and continuous learning.

Cons

The work can be complex and fast-moving, but that’s what makes it rewarding and engaging.

Pros

- The product itself is clever and profitable. - The pay can be competitive. - If you’re dating or related to the family that owns the business, your job security is excellent.

Cons

- High turnover: most people I worked with were taking interviews in their cars. Very few last more than a year unless they’re family-adjacent. - Dysfunctional family dynamics are unavoidable, crying at desks, screaming matches, and tension is part of the culture. - They present themselves as a professional tech company, but it’s really a family business in disguise (something they don’t disclose upfront). - “Cutting-edge” technology isn’t unique, nothing you won’t see elsewhere. - Gossip of discriminatory practices circulates, and they rely heavily on unenforceable NDAs to scare people into silence. (Currently have a lawsuit against them) - Rumors about questionable treatment of non-citizen employees and at least one designer allegedly being let go after taking a religious holiday. - Management drama extends beyond the office — e.g., lawsuits involving the owner.
