Pros

Awesome technology. Nice facility. Friendly Staff.

Cons

Management is not accountable for their own shortfalls. You need to watch your back because you will be thrown under the bus. New product design is not stable and Production is blamed for failing units. Mid-Management micro manages and creates unnecessary stress from pushing employees on tasks that can not be accomplished due to faulty designs. Worst case scenario's are not appreciated. False positives and blaming others is the best path to take.

Thank you for your comments. We've come a long way since 2015. There have been a number of leadership changes beginning early in 2016. We believe you'd have a different view of Freedom if you were to join today.

Pros

Small company means lots of authority to act. Procurement is the easiest I've seen yet. Great social environment, people get along really well. Regular team lunches. No retired-on-the-job trolls ruining things for everyone else (as far as I can see). Competent team members all around. Diversity and wide-open communication with other functions. I didn't expect it would mean this much, but getting to meet customers and see the impact of our products on their lives is just amazing.

Cons

With growth comes increased process which is still in test phases and often changing, so most folks aren't all in complete agreement on process. Manufacturing does get blamed for some problems which are really design flaws.

Pros

The company designs lower limb prosthetics for amputees. Products are well designed and manufactured and amputees seem to love them.

Cons

I can say working at Freedom was probably one of the worst jobs I have ever had. There is so much tension internally, it was a horrible work atmosphere. The executives are condescending and just down right rude. The underlings are given so much work that they are completely stressed out all the time. Employees complain and gossip all the time. No one is appreciated or recognized for doing a good job, and the pay stinks. They had a major layoff in 2016 and the company was bought by a competitor in 2017. Yes they have a few new managers now, but rumor has it that it hasn't changed a thing.
