Pros

The store Some of the coworkers

Cons

Everything else . Trucks are a mess and most of them need to be fixed. Everyone shows up to work complaining about either the disorganized route , the amount of totes thrown around on the truck and just the overall disregard for employee morale . The main concern is get the deliveries done on time , while maneuvering through all kinds of traffic ( especially if it’s corportae in Manhattan) , making sure your truck doesn’t get towed , searching for totes and packages thrown all over the truck with some stops having as many as 97 or more totes as well as large cases of waters, sometimes having to walk blocks with your hand cart( yes this is in a driver position) go through a freight elevator which also takes time as you need a pass , all while scanning everything before you get to the customer and again upon arrival with the scanners malfunctioning often, all while your managers are calling to find out if you’ll be on time . They will send you uptown to downtown , back uptown to midtown back downtown then midtown again sometimes going to the same addresses at 3 different times in 3 different windows (ie; 6-8, 8-10, 10-12) or in corporate (8-10, Etc) . Run as fast as you can from this company . And no respect for women drivers at all.

Pros

What I loved about this job is getting full ownership over my part of the business, and I know a lot of people stick around because they feel a similar passion and ownership. Even though the company is 25 years old, there are still many areas where a much work is needed and therefore great opportunity for new people to come in and make big impact.

Cons

No flexibility for employees to work from home when needed, and terrible PTO package. The family leadership is not transparent, makes questionable business decisions.
