      Pros

      After a couple of years you can make up to 100k. You meet some awesome coworkers. There are times where it is the chillest job you've ever had. When there is OT, you can stay everyday if you want. Good benefits.

      Cons

      Sometimes you can get overwhelmed with things to do. Dealing with the inmate population can be mentally draining. Risk of getting injured at work everyday is a possibility. Sometimes your coworkers aren't the best. Your first years, you probably won't be able to get a shift you want. You will probably be losing a lot of your personal life to this job.

      Pros

      Good Sheriff, good place to raise a family and Fresno County still prosecutes criminal behavior.

      Cons

      It is in California so you still have to deal with California politics.

      Great place to work. Lots of opportunities and training.

      Cons

      We were required to work mandatory overtime due to staffing. There's ways to work around it so you can pick the shift and area you want to work.
