Pros

Good product and that's basically it.

Cons

Working at Friendly Brand was a disappointing experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone seriously pursuing a stable and professional career in sales or cannabis. The high turnover rate alone should be a major red flag — and sadly, it’s just the beginning. It took nearly three weeks to get an actual start date after being told I was hired. I had to chase down the owner multiple times just to ask when I could begin — not a great first impression from a leadership team. We were hired on a salary structure, only to have a new sales manager roll in and suddenly push us onto 1099 commission-only, with one of the lowest commission percentages I’ve ever seen in this industry. There was zero support in terms of basic sales tools — no budgets for buyer lunches, no mileage reimbursement without jumping through hoops, and constant reminders from the owner that any money spent was “coming out of his pocket.” Ironically, this same company had no problem wasting money on marketing merchandise like lanyards, stickers, and clothing that had no strategic value or appeal. The promotional deals and BOGO offers were often confusing and poorly thought out. Samples were rarely available — yet we were expected to drive sales with no tools to do so. Paychecks were frequently incorrect or delayed. We often had to chase down the missing amounts — an exhausting and unprofessional situation for anyone trying to make an honest living. To make matters worse, tasks outside of our roles were often delegated to us without additional pay, just to make things easier for someone else. The owner insisted on being involved in every aspect of the company, which only slowed everything down. There were endless meetings we weren’t compensated for, and major product releases would happen without notifying the sales team. We’d find out by accident — no transparency, no communication. Their presence at trade shows was hit or miss, and when they did show up, the booths were underwhelming and lacked professionalism. The team consistently showed a lack of understanding about how sales relationships actually work. And finally, management — particularly Darrin — was indecisive, inconsistent, and contributed to the chaotic environment. It’s honestly a shame. The product line has potential, but the execution, leadership, and treatment of employees are so poor that it’s only a matter of time before the company digs itself into a hole it can’t get out of. Bottom line: Don’t waste your time. This company is not set up for anyone to thrive.

Pros

Not really much at all. The brand was better when it was Friendly Farms.

Cons

High turn over and they demand loyalty from you without giving any in return.
