Pros
Had a lot of autonomy in my role (this was due to my university tutor, not Fulbright Colombia)
Students were great and very receptive
Ability to travel and visit many parts of Colombia
A lot of free time--nice break from the US "rat race"
Great weather (in Bucaramanga, Colombia)
Cons
Last minute notifications
Culture shock
Not the best support system--they're more reactive than proactive
Your pay is "eh"--you can definitely make it work if you budget, but the first couple of months will be very tight
Inconsistent pay schedules and expectations
