Pros

Benefits (especially insurance) are great Competent HR Most people are friendly

Cons

Inept senior management Unwilling to discipline or keep accountable senior admins who fail in their job responsibilities Hostile to minorities with systemic issues of racism and bigotry If you are not faculty, your opinion has little meaning Financial mismanagement for years has left the school on the brink of collapse with the failed move to Pomona being the most recent example. If any senior admin had taken a few minutes to read the school's documents that concern their relationship with the city of Pasadena, the whole debacle could have been avoided. Senior admin claim they did not know that was coming, but that is due to their ineptitude Poor treatment of employees through underpaying, unclear guidelines for success, lack of transparency about the state of the school's finances, and lack of recognition of student and staff voices
