Pros

Avocados and free food, non-demanding work hours. Cool office space.

Cons

If your definition of a good culture is free food, you'll like Fundbox. Otherwise stay clear if you value a company that cares about their employees. Executive team does not seem to care for their employees and have no concern for such high employee turnover. Employees are not simply numbers but people also. Executive team has never scaled a company (with the exception of the product guy) and often times doesn't even greet or interact with colleagues. Poor communication across the organization and often pivots directions after board meetings. Very little diversity with only 3 female managers.

Pros

Good mission, flexible with work from home (remote work), good health benefits (except no 401K matching)

Cons

They are extremely invested in company growth, but do not appear to be interested in individual growth, including coaching and mentorship. My management either did not have time or interest in coaching or mentoring me through either career aspirations or collaborative scenarios. A lot of the company culture is ambiguous and performative, lacking direction, but it does what is trendy without having actual cultural leadership, identity, or values. Got a lot of "Just deal with it and make the problem go away" conversations instead of getting actual support when I needed it, even though I was consistently told at the end of year that I was a high performer and essential to our org business goals. IMO, this is going to lead to some issues with company quality and output in another 1-3 years as people get tired of hearing the message of growth and performance when they have little time or priority to take care of themselves or their team, or feel like they are not getting support from upper management/ leadrship.
