Pros
Amazing customers. Almost all of the customers in my patch were great. Except for the medical facility that refused to think that they were bound to HIPAA, the hospitality that refused to upgrade their 8 years old laptops, or the law firm that repeatedly tossed engineers and technicians under the bus due to their own incompetence. Work from home was good. Allowed for J1 to function well. The CEO used to manage this team. That was bad. The new CRO manages it now. It is even worse. Benefits are meh. Pay is meh. Coworkers are rockstars and it is hard to find one that does not have a dozen stories of being tossed under the bus by the CEO for a bad customer. I wish them all the best.
Cons
The owner/CEO and his trusted right hand have 0 management/executive experience outside of working here. Zero. Zilch. Nada. No online management courses/seminars. No significant peer mentoring. Nothing. Add in that the owner has embarked on a buying spree and is gobbling up every partly successful (also known as failing) competitor/complimentary company that he can find. Integration is good, the COO has her work cut out for her and she knows what she is doing. But she has 0 CEO support so it is bound to fail.
