the only pros were the tips given by the clients!

everything else is a con! I worked at the newmarket location and during my time there I've been through alot. Hours were constantly being changed even less than 24 hours before your scheduled shifts and management could care less about asking or if you had other plans going on. Pay was delayed several times and even without warning, leaving people financially stressed. my account went into overdraft multiple times due to the fact they would not tell us that pay was going to be delayed or the pay period would be changed without notice. The company was going broke and they expected us to pick up the slack even though they did not know how to run a business in this sector. The manager constantly talked about employees to other employees, making the environment uncomfortable. They tried to force multiple employees to wax men below the belt even though when they were hired they were told its optional. The owner and manager laughed and called a girl names and a diversity hire as she was POC and had a noticeable birthmark on her face. I could go on for hours about how unprofessional this waxbar was to work at. I would never recommend ANYBODY to apply here.
