Pros
-Good pay
-Company vehicle
-Good excersise
Cons
-Told you will receive 3 months of training/shadowing but will be placed in the field on your own after 3 weeks.
-City and utility records are often wrong, difficult to interpret
-If you're a floater, you will be driving across the city for tickets. Each area has different ways the utilities work, which feels like you're constantly starting over learning wise.
-Will be on-call before you receive proper training for SSI's and other areas
-Was supplied multiple trucks that had issues, breaking down, flat tires, no air conditioning throughout the summer.
-The people I shadowed for training didn't allow me to do anything but watch.
-Constant rule changes
-Told you are too slow, but receive constant large difficult tickets compared to the area guys who can complete multiple tickets due to utilities clears or resprays
