Pros

The clients are very lovable.

Cons

The atmosphere within the houses are shocking. Big difference between "Social Care Worker" and the Support Workers. Bit of ridiculous hierarchy going on. (We're all here to support the clients and let them lead a meaningul, happy life). The rosters are poorly done and given less than a week in advance. Lots of changes on them, even when done. You could also be working 4 or 5 twelve hour shifts in a row with no lunch breaks on duty. Some of the staff are under qualified with big egos. Not a nice place to work, even for someone with many years experience in all areas of healthcare. Constantly being undermined. Staff dont speak nicely to the clients or treat them decently.

Galro is good money depending on how many years experiance.

Cons

Poor managment Monthly pay Rosters are done last minute residents are not number 1 and they always cover themselfs with excuses Special treatment is given to some staff

Staff and residents are the only reason I stayed as long as I did.

Cons

No career progression. Management don’t care about floor staff. Worrying culture
