Pros
Since I've joined the team at GCI Health over two years ago, I've seen myself transform into a more confident, capable, knowledgeable consultant across the board. I have been able to learn countless skills from client management to media relations to leadership communications across a number of therapeutic areas, and have had the opportunity to learn from an amazing group of mentors and leaders. I particularly appreciate the level of autonomy and responsibility they give to junior and senior staff alike. Although GCI is very flexible with remote work, the in-office culture has been a great bonus to break up the week. I've been fortunate to join a number of accounts during my time here and have never felt stagnant in my work, and feel like there is a clear path forward for me to continue to grow as a communications professional.
Cons
As is true with any consulting job, we are beholden to client needs, which can often mean the work ebbs and flows! I will say that when times are busy the team comes together to support each other to get deliverables over the finish line.
