Pros

If offered salary sales position, this may be a good job. Large marketing department who make hundreds of phone calls everyday. Appts. are set for you, so there is not prospecting or cold calling.

Cons

Will promise the moon, but deliver on nothing. I was offered a job as a salaried employee, but after training all of us were offered jobs as independent contractors. If you accept a job here, get your offer in writing. If you do take the job as an IC, the company will tell you you will be put on as a W-2 after your first two sales. You will be asked to travel over 100 miles round trip for appts, you are not allowed to contact appts to confirm. Many appts will cancel after you arrive, and you will be out the mileage and time. Just think hard about it and get EVERYTHING in writing before you commit to GCI Solar.

Pros

Great work environment, attentive upper management, fair and adequate compensation. On Friday's the CEO comes by with ice cream/cookies and hand delivers them to each person in the company as a show of humility and appreciation for the work that everyone does. Day ends at 3:30 and is called "Fun Friday"

Wish there were some snacks in the breakroom
