Pros
There are a few pro's - early finishes, late starts, casual wear and the incentives are good (if they are paid out). There's also the fact that once you've worked here, you will never, ever have such a bad job again in your life, so whatever job you go into next, you can always appreciate the fact that it will never be as bad as it is at GDS International.
Cons
Where do I begin? They pretty much have a turnstile at the door, when I worked here during 2013, early 2014 over a period of around 9 months i must have seen around 40-50 fired on the spot (in a sales team of around 20), some had been there years. They even sacked the CEO without telling anyone and then lied to staff about where he had gone. They used to have an incredible recruitment manager who would sell you the dream upon arrival, although even he after a few years could not handle the amount of lies he was forced to sell and left. The product sounds amazing when in reality it is now industry standard and incredibly overpriced. trying to sell it is nearly an impossible task and those that cant just dont work hard enough. It is an extremely unethical place to work - racism, sexism, drug and alcohol abuse is the norm and obtaining phone numbers is another level. I heard on a number of occasions, people pretending to be executives doctors, lying about a childs illness to get phone numbers, even faking cancer scares. Thats just sick. There is not a manager in there who has a management qualification, just people that have not been fired and make a sale.
