Great job and coworkers, less than satisfactory upper management - Operations Supervisor GEODIS Employee Review

Pros

The job and environment is very fast paced and team oriented. You will become very close with your coworkers due to the extreme mental gymnastics upper management will put you through. You get 30 minutes for lunch, so you will lose weight! Free coffee machine in the management and employee breakroom so you can get up and get it.

Cons

Facility runs rampant with favoritism. If you are not the directors pick, you will be treated like a red headed step child. They want you to be a family altogether, you will get close and enjoy spending time with your coworkers. Then time will come when they expect you to not speak to them because they know things about them that they don’t want discussed. Upper management will not discuss things with you and will not communicate with you, they will use others to pit them against you. You love the job but only after so long because you are numb to all the things they are making you take on (this is across multiple departments). Upper management will conduct themselves in a way that terrifies others teammates. They will put you on the floor with no formal training and watch you like a hawk through the cameras.

Pros

You will meet some of the best people here and can learn the basics of being a freight broker if this is the career path you choose.

Cons

eadership is deeply ineffective and lacks even a basic understanding of how to run a successful business. There is a clear disconnect between management and the sales team, with decisions being made in a vacuum that ignore real operational and customer-facing challenges. While leadership claims to prioritize operations, execution is consistently poor and performance continues to decline. There is also a noticeable lack of accountability and consistency across the organization. Processes are not enforced equally, and favoritism impacts outcomes—particularly when it comes to freight handling. If you are not running TM freight, your shipments are treated as a lower priority and handled with significantly less care, which ultimately reflects poorly on both employees and the company as a whole. Overall, the environment is disorganized, leadership is out of touch, and there is little confidence that meaningful improvements will be made
