Pros

A developer will get an experience of working on various kind and various size of projects, some of the senior members are helpful to make you understand the things. So you can groom yourself in knowledge.

Cons

Well this is the story of most of the companies, that is the appraisal, and there is know difference there is no set criteria for that, I can't tell what is the position today as I have worked there from 2006 - 2008 hope they have improved. One more thing they do lot of promises, have a bigger heart and try to ignore them.

Pros

Pay is decent if you manage to survive long enough. Some teams have genuinely great people (but they rarely get promoted).

Cons

Pure Politics, Zero Meritocracy: Promotions and raises aren’t based on performance—they’re based on favoritism, personal relationships, and office politics. If you’re not part of the inner circle, good luck getting ahead. Nepotism at Its Worst: Friends, family, and favorites of leadership get special treatment, regardless of their actual skills. Hardworking employees are ignored or even pushed out. No Transparency: Decisions are made behind closed doors, and feedback is just a formality. You’ll never really know why you were passed over for a promotion. Toxic Culture: Backstabbing, favoritism, and cliques define the workplace. Speaking up about issues can put you on management’s bad side. High Turnover, Low Morale: Talented employees leave as soon as they realize how the system works, while unqualified favorites keep getting promoted.
