Pros
-Used to be a fantastic place to work! There's always a chance of restoring it to the glory days. -The people around you can become your saving grace, helping you to at least see the funny side of circling the drain.
Cons
-Mass exodus of industry professionals seeking greener pastures due to catastrophic failures within the core management structure. -A company so flooded with bureaucratic procedure that GKN has become an enemy of progress and advancement to the entire British Aerospace industry. The Concorde wasn't made by staring at a daily management board for 6 hours a day. -Employee engagement drive from upper management has attempted to quantify human emotion, it has backfired. Now everyone is angrier than ever. You will become a little red cell on the spreadsheet of some vicious, morally incompetent career bureaucrat that has absolutely no idea what you do as a job. Then you will feel judged by management as your disengagement continues to blotch the KPIs of these ghouls. And instead of addressing why you feel so upset with your job, they will eventually tire of the redness and change the parameters of said KPI until the little cell eventually goes orange, green if they are lucky. Then they can claim an utterly insane bonus while you get told that 5% is too much.
