Pros

Summer Fridays (which you have to pay for with longer hours during the week), annual firm day.

Cons

Used to be an entrepreneurial firm--not anymore! It's do as I say and be a puppet. Don't use your brain! Sure, they say they want your ideas, but only if you're "upper level" or a millennial. That's a big term used within the firm. Title matters-not who has the best idea. It's all smoke and mirrors and the expectations are COMPLETELY unrealistic! They want to "look" like they are a growing firm, but inside is a different story. There is zero organization and a clear agenda by a few at the top, who don't even have ownership of the firm, to have control over every dept. Unfortunately the shareholders are too afraid to speak up about their concerns of the direction the firm is headed--which is in a downward spiral. People are leaving by the droves. Their reputation used to matter, but now they have inexperienced people in positions of power. The culture is toxic and the politics poisonous.

Compared to other accounting firms, Grassi has a family feel. Decent hours and fair compensation. ESOP structure which offers stability and much better than PE owned firms. Very client service focused.

Cons

Could grow and expand a bit faster.

Pros

- Nice modern office in Midtown - A lot of summer events - Sometimes can work remotely - ESOP if you're their full-time

Cons

- Intern class didn't seem to have any return offers - Medium-sized firm, could potentially buyout to PE or merge
