Pros

One consistent bright spot across reviews is the people. The GRIN team is made up of some of the kindest, most collaborative, and intelligent individuals you could hope to work with truly the best part of the company (aside from leadership).

Cons

Another common theme in reviews is the toxic leadership team. It feels almost like they’re purposely running the company into the ground, which makes no sense, but employees and customers alike have been loudly sharing what we need for years, only to be ignored or gaslit. Layoffs have become the norm, churn is high, sales are still declining, and the product is extremely buggy, creating constant customer escalations. Yet, instead of fixing the product or retaining talented engineers, they cut quality engineering roles and keep hiring more salespeople. The CEO asks for honest feedback in anonymous surveys, only to put feedback on blast in company meetings, saying that if you don’t feel on board it’s a personal issue, not a GRIN issue. Never mind the fact that most of us have been through multiple rounds of layoffs and have every reason to feel uneasy about the company’s current state. It’s created a cult-like culture where real concerns are dismissed and everyone is expected to fall in line. This company can burn out even the best of best.

Pros

None anymore. The entire company has done a 180 and isn't what it was; never could I have imagined someone somehow burning through $110M in such a disgraceful way.

Cons

See aforementioned burning of $110M investment in <3 years. They had everything going for them - great industry, cash in the bank, talent, clients, reputation, etc. and somehow still managed to spend themselves into a hole with loads of tech debt with one poor decision after another.
