Pros

Embracing Individuality: At GWI, individuality is not only encouraged but celebrated. The company values and highlights the diverse talents and perspectives within its workforce. Learning and Growth Opportunities: My tenure at GWI provided abundant opportunities for both professional and personal development. The P&C team creates a supportive environment that nurtures continuous growth, investing in the well-rounded development of its employees. Strategic Decision-Making: The majority of leaders at GWI exhibit a commitment to sound decision-making, particularly when navigating changes essential for the company's progress. The long-term vision and proactive approach to future challenges contribute to the company's ability to future-proof itself.

Cons

Consistent Communication: A slight drawback lies in the inconsistency of communication among managers and leaders, impacting employees. Some individuals may not fully embrace ownership of consistent communication. Organizational Maturity: While not necessarily a con, GWI is on a journey to support and educate managers and leaders. The company is actively working towards improving management and leadership capabilities. Challenges in Widespread Translation of Culture: Despite the encouragement of individuality, there are challenges in universally translating this culture across all teams and departments. Efforts to ensure a consistent and inclusive culture throughout the organization could further enhance the overall employee experience.

Hi there, I wanted to reach out and thank you for your honest and detailed review. I'm so pleased to hear you experienced personal growth and development at GWI, whether someone stays at GWI or takes their learning elsewhere, this is our ultimate goal for each employee and I'm thrilled to hear this was the case. I'd also like to acknowledge your comments on communication and the translation of culture within the different teams. We are certainly on a journey to business maturity, but I think it's fair to say we're not there yet. And finally, I'd like to say a huge thank you, for being part of our P&C team and for your contribution to GWI. All the very best for what comes next! Chelsea CPO

Pros

Great place to gain valuable professional experience, work with well-known brands, and develop skills that are highly transferable to future roles.

Cons

The GWI I joined and the GWI I left felt like two very different companies. Over the years, the culture declined significantly, and many teams became increasingly disconnected. Collaboration was often difficult, and some colleagues displayed entitled and unprofessional behavior that made the work environment challenging. Career growth opportunities were limited, and compensation did not always reflect the responsibilities and expectations placed on employees. In recent years, leadership appeared heavily focused on AI initiatives and cost-cutting measures, which created uncertainty and negatively impacted morale. Frequent layoffs and restructures made many employees feel undervalued and replaceable. While I gained valuable experience and worked with some talented individuals, I would encourage leadership to invest more in employee development, culture, and transparency.
