Pros
A few great co-workers, opportunity to learn about high end furniture
Cons
Lousy training, dysfunctional atmosphere involving favoritism and requirement to play up to management to obtain decent treatment, disrespect of employees in the form or scolding and "talking down,"retaliation against anyone who dares to report unfair treatment. One might be able to put up with this if there was really an opportunity to make a good living, but for the average designer/salesperson, expect to struggle to make ends meet. Most salespeople on the floor have to take a second job to pay their bills if they are not supported by a partner or spouse. It is such a shock to experience the reality at Gabberts when the image is that of a quality place to buy furniture. The furniture may be nice but if you notice disenchanted people helping you who don't seem to care, there is a good reason for this. They are being treated badly. Such a shame!
