Pros

The Money. And nothing else

Cons

Everything else: your career, your motivation, your personal growth, … Macau is an overprotective place: with 90% of its economy depending on gambling, there’s no opening for newcomers or new ideas. Galaxy is naturally one of its child, so don’t come here if you want to change things. Forget your hopes of bringing something to the world. Foreigners are also thought as “stealing Chinese money”. You are warned. Yes Galaxy has 20k employees, but deep down it’s still a family business. Plutocracy at every level, the Vice-chairman (CEO) is feared and courted like a king. Teams overall fight for attention and favors. Siloes and politics are everywhere.
The chain of command exclusively top-down, where subordinates are purely executioners, micro-managed by top management, and have no chance of providing feedback or bring initiatives. As a manager, the best survival skill to possess is finger pointing at your subordinates or other teams. This results in massive delays projects, inefficiencies at every level, and demotivation. If you have no backbone that’s the place for you
