Pros

You'll get to travel a lot. If you enjoy the content they promote at the shows, you'll enjoy that aspect of things. You'll meet the guests if you have enough time to say hello in passing.

Cons

Mike and Sandy will abuse you. You will be screamed at, have things thrown at you, and be treated like absolute garbage. Have you ever been in an abusive relationship? This is the same experience. They'll treat you amazingly to get you on board, then it will be a roller coaster of abuse and gaslighting from that point forward. Mike and Sandy even joke and laugh about how they make staff cry and how afraid everyone is of them. It's disgusting. Do not work for these sociopaths. Oh, and you'll be asked to do many things you're not comfortable doing. For example, telling deaf attendees you won't do anything to help them, telling people in wheelchairs they're out of luck when it comes to the elevators, trying to spin their insults about attendees, staff, volunteers, and guests into something positive, etc. If you need training, you're out of luck. You're expected to just know what to do. You will have no work life balance. This job is your life. If you're out of state and asked to move to Florida to work, DO NOT DO IT because they will fire you within a year or two. No one lasts long term. Their turnover rate is 100% minimum, and that's just for the full time staff. The owners complain that no one knows anything, but they don't teach staff how to do their jobs properly and then they just fire them at the first hiccup. The job is perfect for someone who loves bejng abused and watching sociopathic mafia wannabes abuse others. It is a miracle that former staff members haven't banded together to sue them since some have had to go to therapy because of these people. If you speak out against them in ANY way, they will threaten to sue you. It is a baseless threat, but it is very telling when it comes to how they operate. Instead of changing, they would prefer to pretend everyone else is the issue, even though they are the common denominator in every single conflict and issue. Oh, and you'd make more money working at various fast food places or retail businesses. I cannot even list my actual position or final year because they will send threats to me if they find out who I am. Do not work here. Just don't.

Pros

Comicon style events you get to attend and be a part of and meet amazing people and celebrities.

Cons

Leadership is horrible. They will work you to the bone and then yell at you for things that are out of your control. Leadership has anger management issues and expect you to do the work of multiple people which not offing support. You have no autonomy and the work hours while onsite at the cons are horrible but they don't care. They are adding so many new cons but not increasing the team to help with the additional workload.
