Remote working options for full time employees

Cons

I worked with my team for a full year and never video chatted with them, got to know them, or formally trained with them. My management team was brutal and even as a new starter, the individual I had started with and I both felt like we were not given what we needed to succeed. I got yelled at by a higher up on my second week for not responding to an email that I was told by another employee I should not respond too. Such a lack of communication, my 1:1 with my manager never lasted more than 3 minutes. I’ve worked in account management for years and this was one of the worst and strangest working environments I’ve ever had. Don’t recommend

Pros

Great work-life balance as a remote employee. Management is approachable and genuinely willing to help when it comes to workload — you never feel like you're on your own.

Cons

Mentorship is largely self-driven. if you don't seek it out yourself, it won't come to you. Systems and internal processes can be slow and tedious, which adds friction to an already fast-paced workload. Compensation does not reflect the complexity or volume of work expected. High performers who are ready for the next step would benefit from clearer, more proactive promotion paths. When that structure is missing, talented people disengage quietly long before they ever leave.
