Pros

There are absolutely no pros. "Meeting celebrities and getting paid for call even if shift is cancelled" is all a LIE.

Cons

I worked 3 shifts with Gallowglass and can state that that they are a charlatan company that advertises their pay rate to be £10ph. However, this is not the case as they do not pay you any holiday pay and therefore the hourly rate is actually £7 per hour which is minumum wage. Furthermore, this job requires you to work like a slave with rude managers lifting heavy stuff. HEAVY TRUCK LIFTING JOBS PAY OVER £15ph in Londonand therefore the pay rate should be at least £12ph. You can easily find a job that is very relaxed and easy that pays more than working like a donkey for this company. The people in the office are extremely rude and annoying as they call you everyday expecting you to work wheras this is actually an agency job and you should be able to decide WHEN you want to work! There are plenty of easy and fun hospitality job agencies that pay more and are very professional unlike Gallow glass. Stay away from this company at all costs.

Pros

I got to see a lot of London, and some places in the UK that I've never seen before. You learn to work with a team as not every crew shift is the same. Although the Salary is about minimum wage, you get paid for the hours you got assigned to. If the job finishes earlier than expected, then you don't lose any money. I have never worked overtime either. I would say this was a good job to have for part-time.

Cons

Some days require a lot of hours and some managers are not very respectful to the crew members. However, most of the managers I had were very nice and made the work worthwhile. After a while, work can get repetitive.

Good amount of work in the summer. Helpful colleagues. Easy onboarding.

Cons

Hard work and long hours. Not for the work shy.
