Pros

The team were nice, generally pleasant. Direct line manager was incredibly supportive and professional.

Cons

Poor planning of staffing structures meant redundancies were made effective early on in my employment.

Good annual leave, can be taken quite flexibly Sometimes the helpline can be quiet General good company ethos

Cons

Some of the managers go on power trips and expect too much from advisors Very little emotional support for what is a very difficult and emotionally demanding job Lacks adequate training

Pros

Pay is quite decent for charity sector. Salary sacrifice pension option.

Cons

Extremely poor leadership and lack of direction that creates a very demotivating and stressful environment. Very corporate and stifling culture, where everything is about reporting against KPIs versus doing actual meaningful, informed work that helps clients. Expertise is not valued, no room for progression, redundancies are rife.
