Pros

In this economy it is a job. You do get to work out of your home and schedule your own appointments. They do let you purchase product at 50% off which is supposed to be for customer samples but they do let you purchase for your own personal use such as for Xmas gifts or parties.

Cons

After 3 days of training in Atlanta, GA you are given one day in the office to call customers and schedule appointments which is not enough time as most customers need several calls. You must document every minute of your time which is to be faxed daily to your manager. You must have a minimum of 3 scheduled calls and 6 to 8 cold calls a day. You are expected to have a sale from each of the 3 scheduled appointments and are expected to sign up a mininum of 1 to new customers a week. You are not given any office time and must spend 8 hours a day in the field. You must have 12K a month in sales before you are paid comission. You must purchase your own samples to show customers. You provide your own computer, car, gas and cell phone but are given a monthly stipend to help off set the costs. The territorys are large and overnight travel is required. You are given $50 a night for hotel and meals which of course is not enough to cover your costs. It is implied that you will work weekends or evenings as no time is given during the day to look at emails or reports.

Pros

Good benefits, base plus commission so if you want more money you sell more. You get what you put in. Flexible schedule. Family type environment. Tools provided to provide great service, samples, no charge credit for us to allocate as needed to assist our customers.

Cons

I really don’t have any cons, after having my own businesses I think the ecxpectations are attainable.

Pros

Thorough training and onboarding, nice manager

Cons

Super low pay for job itself, commissions are low & and only are dispersed when product ships (which could be months), not autonomous, micromanaged, dress code of not wearing nice jeans didn’t make sense (meeting with retail stores not doctors), hand had to pay for iPad monthly insurance fee. I’ve had sales positions in the past and never had to pay any fees on equipment.
