Manager Behavior - Sales Associate Garage Clothing Employee Review

Pros

Good pay, to be part-time.

Cons

In the store, many workers were present, but only one was actively working. The manager spent her time socializing and having fun with other employees, neglecting her responsibilities while new arrivals handled all the demanding tasks in the stock room. Despite the store being empty, approximately five people gathered outside to dance to the store's music instead of working. The manager's behavior was perceived as rude, and there were concerns about her lack of professionalism and education. Additionally, the schedule was consistently disorganized, often resulting in last-minute calls to cover shifts. When unable to accommodate these requests, they would become upset.

Pros

50% discount Trendy product and brand image

Cons

Strict policies that don’t always reflect real store conditions Little job security, employees may be let go without much notice Employees going through personal or medical situations may not always feel fully supported Accountability isn’t always applied evenly across the team Favoritism/cliquey culture depending Heavy camera monitoring creates a feeling of being constantly watched Low and inconsistent hours for sales associates High-pressure visual standards with frequent changes Online order fulfillment and shipping demands can be excessive for the level of staffing Music is way too loud at the store. There is no way to tweak the volume which can be overwhelming for not only employees but customers RFID and theft are heavily emphasized and often blamed on staff, yet the store doesn’t consistently use standard security systems like EAS alarms on tagged items
