Pros

Receive tips from customers. Can get time off when you need it. Pay is decent.

Cons

The owner bites off more than they chew, but that's virtually almost every construction company I've ever worked with. We put a polyaspartic finish to a the floor surrounding the swimming pool when we should have done cool decking. Polyaspartic also absorbs and retains heat and makes it painful to whomever walks on it. On top of that, rhino tooth grit is not enough to make that floor have traction; it's also a slip hazard. Owner would block customers that voice their concerns/complaints. Owner would schedule jobs that would take you from one side of the Las Vegas valley to another. Owner would not brief you adequately on certain discontinuities on a garage floor that you would find. The owner insists on using crack weld on exposed concrete where chunks are missing as a way to fill it, instead of hiring a concrete layer to do it. The project manager would, at many times, be condescending to his coworkers. Inconsistent by saying one thing and berate you on another, even when it was his idea. Project manager believes his residential painting experience transfers over to the epoxy side of construction.
