Compensation and recognition fell short of expectations - Sales and Design Consultant Garden State Tile Employee Review

Pros

Offering matching 41K contribution benefit.

Cons

I worked at Garden State Tile for several years, and while there were some valuable experiences, the overall compensation and recognition fell short of expectations. Raises were not standard and often required repeatedly asking, waiting two years or more—despite consistently meeting performance goals. The company expected a high level of commitment, flexibility, and output, but this wasn’t matched with fair compensation, career growth opportunities, or consistent appreciation. Over time, this imbalance affected morale and made it difficult to feel valued as an employee.

Pros

I wish I could say something but I can’t.

Cons

Do not work for this company ESPECIALLY if you are a young professional. They promote it as a modern, family-valued ready to grow brand but that is the complete opposite. Either you fall in line with the toxic environment they created or get out. I wish I was being dramatic when I say that the people who have been working in their corporate office make you feel worthless for even asking a question or better yet won’t even respond when you say hello to them. I have been in my field for over ten years and never met a company that operates in such a way that their employees only lose - unless you leave!
