Pros
The people I worked with every day were genuinely some of the best I've encountered; all very sharp, kind, and hardworking. The bar is high, and the engineering and product teams rise to meet it. If you're someone who thrives in a high-performance environment and wants to be surrounded by people who take their craft seriously, you will definitely find that here.
Cons
My criticism is directed at the executive level, not the rest of the org.
- Layoffs happen without warning, even when the business appears to be doing extremely well. There were no PIPs or performance conversations. Just a sudden decision with no accountability.
- Leadership churn around the CEO is also something worth paying attention to. People who get close to him tend not to last more than a year or two.
- Major organizational changes happen without much transparency or lead time. Messaging shifts frequently.
- Finally, as a healthcare company, the lack of empathy (from the top) is striking. But it's also not something they claim to have; it's not one of their core values, which is an intentional choice.
