Pros
- free tickets for you and your immediate family. But you do fly on standby and get be off loaded if the flight is full - great place to work if you have a side job. You will have a ton of free time to do other things - decent amount of business travels if you are in the right positions
Cons
- bureauractic - no meritocracy - no career path. If you want to get ahead, suck up to someone and make sure he/she is powerful enough - a lot of inefficiencies. Hundreds of old employees with no posting - no clear KPIs - tons of old timers who haven't kept up with the current trends and required skills and untrainable. They are happy to just float around, gossips and do nothing - salary is not the best, but decent - health benefit is dismal; you have to use company-owned provider first before you go to your regular doctor or hospitals - a lot of politicking. Watch who you hang out with because he/she can be your ticket to heaven or hell
