      Pros

      You get to work with beautiful materials that you wouldn't be able to touch at other firms, high budget projects

      Cons

      Pay is poor, it is very cliquey and uninviting. People are rude and unlikely to help you grow as a designer. Very little room for personal creativity. Little to no oversight or supervision which creates a chaotic atmosphere. There are no standards so every project is different which again creates issues. PMs do not structure the project development. The firm is stark and lackluster and the vibe is very negative in general.

      Pros

      The people that work at GLP are beyond talented. I worked there for 7 years, and gained an incredible amount of experience while working alongside the best of the best in the interior design industry in Chicago. It was a great place to learn and grow as a designer. The skills you develop are due to an amazing team you work with. If you are eager and driven to develop and grow as a high end designer, this is the best place to work in Chicago.

      Cons

      No job out there is perfect, and working for clients who have high expectations can create job stress just like any other design firm.
