      Pros

      Grace to gain experience and certification as Peer Support Specialist. No over-the-shoulder supervision.

      Cons

      Progression in pay is null.$14 an hour for life as a Peer Support Specialist. Only $1 more as Supervisor-that's it! Do not pay to Median Wage in Florida. Not a job to have if you are married with dependants. No competitive pay. Will need a second job. Below poverty pay. Procedures are always changing without notice so support to patients is difficult. PSL works in the Emergency room/Trauma centers so expect high stress, biased Doctor/Nurse staff to addiction, which makes your job harder and GCS is without defense against Hospital staff. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!

      Benefits but that is it.

      I was an employee before they started requiring RBT stuff. They told me the deadline was July 1 to complete the courses. I was having personal issues at the time of the deadline. I told them that I was having issues that I was not able to complete it but still work there full time. They were gonna give an extension but I told them I couldn't complete it right now. HR took it as a voluntary termination when I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT QUITTING!!!!! ! NEVER sent a resignation letter! I sent an email about the situation, they never responded BUT THEY DISABLED MY ACCOUNT!!!!
