Pros

- work life balance - fun and smart coworkers

Cons

- Salaries have been consistently paid late since March 2023, causing significant financial hardship for myself and my coworkers. The delay in the THR (Eid Al Fitr allowance) by 2-3 weeks made it the worst Eid Al Fitr holiday we have ever experienced, as we were left financially strained and unable to fully enjoy the festivities. - The internet service was constantly disrupted, at times, it was discovered that the internet bills had not been paid on time. - Despite it being clearly stated in my contract, the company has shown no intention of fulfilling its obligation to provide BPJSTK benefits even after two years of my employment. - The company has the ability to change rules according to their preferences, even if they are stated in the company rule book. the company may modify them to suit their own agenda, even it will hurt he rights of the employee. - The presence of the former CEO, whose current position within the company remains unknown, significantly contributed to GeekSeat's downfall. Regrettably, she exhibited a closed-mindedness towards feedback, rendering her unsuitable as a client or product owner. This led to projects under her leadership suffering from poor UI/UX, and her dismissive response of "Trust me, I know everything" hindered any improvements to the product. Furthermore, the former CEO displayed a penchant for excessive micromanagement. Despite my role as a business analyst for her projects, I was never given the opportunity to work as analyst. Instead, she made me to just create wireframe and acceptance criteria based on her decisions which also based on her personal beliefs about what was best for the client. This even extended to her creating her own Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) and occasionally making code changes herself. However, many times she made promises and commitments that were left unfulfilled, leaving our team responsible for delivering what she had previously assured us she would handle. The constant changes in requirements placed an immense amount of stress on the team. Team member encountered significant conflicts with one and another as we struggled to meet the demands of her ever-changing expectations. Her leadership style was far from that of an effective CEO; she lacked trust in others and insisted on maintaining control over every aspect of the projects, resulting in a lack of substantial progress. the CEO is one of the reason why the Geekseat has fallen.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry to see you didn't feel any of the training, happy hour lunches twice a month, lunch & learn sessions, weekly English lessons and the many other benefits we offer all of our employees as Pros. As a business we have experienced growing pains, and as for the majority of Companies 2020-2022 were very hard years dealing with the global pandemic. We have tried to be honest with everyone, cash flow was tight, international transfers were impacted and some pay runs were late. However, as a business we focused on ensuring we didn't make a single redundancy during the pandemic making sure all of our employees maintained an income during what where very tough times for everyone. We're sorry you felt our approach in handling this was unorganised and poorly managed, however for the team we have now I hope the results speak for themselves. Best of luck in your career.
