Pros

Not very much I'm sorry to say, most of the people seem to be nice. Building was new and clean

Cons

I worked in IT. There was no on-boarding whatsoever, if I had a question, it was "go ask this or that guy". They rushed to get me in there, I would have liked a week off between contracts (I had not had a vaca in 6 months) but they apparently needed me badly. Badly enough that I sat there for 3 days at an empty desk with no laptop on Thanksgiving week when everyone was out. When I actually started working about 2 weeks later, what I thought was a Linux scripting role turned out to be a technical writer. How about just hiring a technical writer???? My number one priority was working on a project not yet funded. Complete waste of time.

Pros

GD-MS seems to win *ALOT* of proposals and contracts. There is always the next big thing at GD-MS.

Cons

Contractors 411: Typically, contracts terminated with no notice. Today will be your last day. Please wrap up your work. It was a very low-rate contract too. Made alot of sacrifices to be on this program. Culture resembled a human wood-chipper ala FARGO. Many senior engineers leaving en-mass. I was asked to take over the role of the engineer who left just prior to my arrival. I called it: I will be next. Good experience once in your life to go thru the human wood-chipper. Toughens you up. However, GD-MS is a great example of how it is that legacy aerospace companies are dying rapidly and startups will be the future in aerospace.
