Pros

The benefits are great. There is a flex work schedule, so you can get every other friday off. They encourage you to get training and to pursue an advanced degree. The people are very friendly and it's a very pleasant work environment.

Cons

The cafeteria food is awful. There is tons of documentation that is necessary because of the government work that we do, it can get boring during that time.

Pros

GD-MS seems to win *ALOT* of proposals and contracts. There is always the next big thing at GD-MS.

Cons

Contractors 411: Typically, contracts terminated with no notice. Today will be your last day. Please wrap up your work. It was a very low-rate contract too. Made alot of sacrifices to be on this program. Culture resembled a human wood-chipper ala FARGO. Many senior engineers leaving en-mass. I was asked to take over the role of the engineer who left just prior to my arrival. I called it: I will be next. Good experience once in your life to go thru the human wood-chipper. Toughens you up. However, GD-MS is a great example of how it is that legacy aerospace companies are dying rapidly and startups will be the future in aerospace.
