Pros

The engineers that are there are good, work hard and put out good products.

Cons

In transition from a large contract and not managing it well. Management stripped good engineers away, froze or downgraded benefits and is now dealing with a large exodus of good experienced engineers. Management focus on short term bonuses and profits with no thought for the future.

Thank you for your review. You're right that the past several years have been hard for everyone, particularly the defense industry. Though times have been tough, we are looking forward to a positive outlook this year and in the years ahead. We continue to expand our SATCOM offerings, and are excited to enter the public safety sector sharing our expertise in military communications with first responders around the country. Keep an eye out for more positive changes and growth as we continue ahead. In the meantime, thank you again for your comments, we appreciate your honest feedback.

Pros

GD-MS seems to win *ALOT* of proposals and contracts. There is always the next big thing at GD-MS.

Cons

Contractors 411: Typically, contracts terminated with no notice. Today will be your last day. Please wrap up your work. It was a very low-rate contract too. Made alot of sacrifices to be on this program. Culture resembled a human wood-chipper ala FARGO. Many senior engineers leaving en-mass. I was asked to take over the role of the engineer who left just prior to my arrival. I called it: I will be next. Good experience once in your life to go thru the human wood-chipper. Toughens you up. However, GD-MS is a great example of how it is that legacy aerospace companies are dying rapidly and startups will be the future in aerospace.
