Pros

The people are very conscientious and smart. There is a lot of integrity in the company. After all, we are building systems to be used by our military and there is no room for slacking or poor ethics. There is also a lot of security. Upper management does care about growing the company by making the people, processes and products better. They don't just strive for pushing sales anyway possible, but to differentiate our products through excellence.

Cons

There aren't to many other then the company tends to be tight with the purse strings. They pay good but they watch their pennies in most other ways. But, I just look at that as a part of their good ethics. Waste not want not. And again, we are a government contractor so extravagance is not something your going to find here.

Pros

GD-MS seems to win *ALOT* of proposals and contracts. There is always the next big thing at GD-MS.

Cons

Contractors 411: Typically, contracts terminated with no notice. Today will be your last day. Please wrap up your work. It was a very low-rate contract too. Made alot of sacrifices to be on this program. Culture resembled a human wood-chipper ala FARGO. Many senior engineers leaving en-mass. I was asked to take over the role of the engineer who left just prior to my arrival. I called it: I will be next. Good experience once in your life to go thru the human wood-chipper. Toughens you up. However, GD-MS is a great example of how it is that legacy aerospace companies are dying rapidly and startups will be the future in aerospace.
