Pros

Working at Generation Tux has been a unique experience. For a company that still operates with some startup energy, there’s a lot of freedom to use your creativity and initiative to elevate your showroom and contribute meaningfully to your local market. I’ve had the opportunity to grow in my role, and I’ve taken on a number of responsibilities beyond my original job description—which has allowed me to develop professionally and have a direct impact on results. Recently, the company has started implementing more structure and standardization, which is a step in the right direction. Processes are becoming clearer and more consistent, and the micromanagement seems to come from a desire to streamline and scale.

Cons

While taking on more has brought me personal growth, it hasn't come with increased pay, bonuses, or formal acknowledgment through commission structures or promotions. Requests for additional showroom support or compensation have been declined, which can make it difficult to maintain the same level of motivation over time. It does feel like top-performing employees are often stretched to their limits without additional resources or rewards.
