Pros
new office, relatively good pay
Cons
This is a boys club money making machine, that actually started making money just 3 years ago. If you are reading this, it is already too late, considering this profanity ridden hell hole as your place of employment. If you are going to be managed by the CEO, you're in a very tough situation, no matter what is your position - partner, VP, officer, assistant, or whatever. You're going to work for a not very well educated and even less emotionally intelligent person, become distrustful yourself, you'll curb your enthusiasm, you'll learn how to be bullied and being cornered will become your natural state. This is a company of excuses, and they will view your every move and word as such, an excuse. Its main product line are cheaply made construction drawings and documents. They bid on pretty much everything, driving prices down, cutting corners, scrambling to put something together and passing it along with an invoice. This is not a unique company and there is nothing special about it, just the next slave ship driven by someone with business acumen of mugger, self awareness of a brick and just as emotionally sensitive. Coarse behavior and profane language are the norm, just as the lack of any emotional intelligence is the baseline prerequisite of working there. This experience, although annoying may prove beneficial in several aspects - you'll learn to hate yourself and your job, your managers, the people you manage, they'll teach you how to effectively talk behind people's backs, how to set up things for failure, how to lie and accept that being lied to is tolerable, you'll accept their poor health plans, their incomplete and contradicting HR and management solutions. It can be a really good place for you. It just wasn't one for me.
