Better place - Product Developer Genesis Today Employee Review

I have so many great things to say about GT especially in the last few years as SO many changes have been made, but let me just summarize with the top things that I think make this company stand out among the rest: 1. Small company with LOTS of opportunity 2. Responsive management that cares about it's employees 3. Great culture and working environment with intelligent, funny and friendly co-workers 4. The number one reason that I started working here was to help people and I get to do that everyday 5. Relaxed environment that is pretty self driven (no micro-managing) and promotes innovative solutions 6. Great PTO and compensation

When I first started working here in 2012 we had over 100 employees so insurance benefits were great, now that we are smaller the benefits are not as good but still pretty decent compared to the market place.

It's kind of like we all just survived a tidal wave and the ones left are like...woah, did that really just happen? Board hired a top notch CEO a couple weeks back, and (in what seemed to be) one fell swoop, the people that represented the reason for the negative reviews you see before mine...are just gone. At a company meeting, it was revealed that we were being big-brothered for a (decade?) Dozens of security cameras in open offices, but none in executive suites, routine listening-in on phone calls, click monitoring on computer screens (one screenshot every three seconds) and - best of all, clocking in and out, even for salaried employees. And it's all gone now. Thing of the past - just like that. Future looks bright - We feel like plane crash survivors being rescued from a desert island.

We're all still shell shocked from being led by people who were more interested in control than success. The team will have to be eased into change, and it's not a breezy road ahead.
