Pros

Working out of a small office, there is great flexibility in terms of going into the office at whatever time you want. Hours are really up to you depending on the projects or accounts being managed at the time. Of course, if you have a local manager working there with you, usually there is some pressure to try to be in the office and leave at a decent time. However, when the manager is not around, you don't need to go at all and no one will questions your whereabouts - Bottom line is to just get your work done by the given deadlines. So that is quite good. Insurance for healthcare is good, your phone bills are paid monthly and you can claim for cab if you are working (locally) after 9pm. If you are overseas for business trips, you can claim for pretty much everything - Flights, taxi, meals, hotel mini bar. Working out of a small office also means it is a close-knit group and your colleagues are pretty much friends, so the camaraderie and culture is quite nice - Mainly stayed for a long time in the company because of that. Definitely sounds and seems like a chill place.

Cons

Ever since the company IPO-ed though, there seems to be some serious cost-cutting. Management became really strict about claims. I have had phone bills questioned because they seemed higher than a normal month - I had to justify that I was speaking to several clients via overseas calls, which is normal for commercial sales. Some frustrating points occurred when I was trying to book flights for overseas business trips. For context, the company has a certain limitation for flights (and hotels) up to a certain number of hours. However, it seemed that management wanted to place me on a red-eye flight which would cost less money as compared to flights I selected which fit the business schedule between myself and the client. I argued that I was within policy but my manager still rejected it. Seemed quite clear that they wanted to cut cost here and it just left a bad taste in the mouth. The bonus is a big red flag here - It works on a quarterly basis and your KPI is part of a larger commercial revenue target. Meaning to say, your bonus is shared amongst the whole team. However, this also means that when the pie is divided at the end of each quarter, you would only get a few hundreds here and there, I would consider it a good month to be able to even hit a grand individually. The targets set out for each global office are highly ambitious, bordering on the impossible. Year after year, I have become more convinced that it is set in order to keep our bonuses low as hell. Another massive red flag is the almost non-existent pay increment. I have worked in the company for almost 6 years and my pay did not even increase by USD$1,000 in total! Now that I think about it, for the amount of accounts and clients I handled (Which contributed to a sizeable amount of revenue to the company in that region) I was being severely exploited. Mind you, we had to sometimes collaborate with colleagues from other timezones (European/North & South America/Asia & Oceania), which meant either waking up really early or going to bed really late - Once had a call begin at 11pm and end at 2am. At times, I even took calls on off-days or holidays in order to ensure the business projects I was involved in were still on track. It is crystal clear that the company did not value me and slowly my motivation dwindled to the point that I found myself doing the bare minimum and looking for avenues to leave. The final straw was really this - On my 5th year anniversary, I was given a company sweatshirt and was told that I could speak to my manager to organise a meal within the office but within a limited budget. I could not help but to laugh at how pathetic this was. Truly spoke volumes of how this company valued a long-term employee. I finally left this year and have been offered job opportunities with almost double my salary at Genius Sports. I still keep in contact with my ex-colleagues and I heard that this year was the first time in history that many of them did not receive a pay bump - Yet, I see the company's stock steadily rising on NYSE. Shocking but also, no real surprise - This company won't value you and you are replaceable. Never forget that
