Pros

Used to be good working culture. Good industry to be in Australia.

Cons

I’ve worked here as a Software Engineer for several years, and overall my experience has been disappointing compared to other companies in the industry. The main concern is compensation. In my opinion, salaries are far below market rates for engineers with similar experience in Melbourne, especially considering workload and expectations.(at least 30-40k not just 10k difference) Another challenge is the technology stack. A large portion of the work is still based on older proprietary systems, and although there have been discussions about modernization for a long time, progress appears slow. This can make it harder for engineers to gain experience with more widely used technologies. Team morale has also declined over time. There has been noticeable staff turnover, and remaining team members often need to absorb additional responsibilities. At the same time, performance expectations remain high, which can create a stressful working environment. From my experience, many employees seem focused on finding opportunities elsewhere, and there is a general sense of low motivation across teams. There are still good people working here, but I would encourage prospective employees to carefully evaluate whether the role aligns with their long-term career growth and market expectations.

Pros

If you want to be the intersection of transportation and digital transformation, and have an actual solution which isn't vapor ware to support, this is a great company. Team has been working together for a long time, and they are super knowledgeable and eager to help you in role.

Cons

Some of their back office processes could use some sharpening up - to be expected for a small company, and they are working on them actively.
