Good company to work for

Getting laid off and there is no more work

There was overtime available the closer it was to project end dates. Sometimes travel opportunities were also available. Per Diem is average.

Contracts weren't always available and they would make unexpected layoffs. It seemed liked they would cut the best/most experienced people just because they made more per hour.
